Save Others and Save Yourself!

The 2008 E Group gathering is now history! 52 young men gathered together to quest for Apostolic ministry! Each session was power packed! Each session concluded with a time of "Fervent Prayer"! This cemented the messages to our spirits as we strove to strength our desire to become Men Seeking God! The passion for God of the young men was refreshing and extremely uplifting!



Many thoughts came to my mind during this time but one thought of Bro. Nathan Urshan II has stayed with me! In fact, I have quoted it to others, to help them understand the importance of soul winning in the life of the child of God. Bro. Urshan started a church at the age of 22 in Ft. Myers, Florida. Ten years later the congregation numbers approximately 200! When I think of that I get excited thinking about the souls that have been saved through his step of faith! Yet he stated: When I was saving others I was saving myself! In other words when you are teaching someone else not only do they get the benefit of salvation but you have to dig to find out what you really believe! It forces you to seek God! When you do that, you save your own self! He had evangelized a number of years, his name opening doors to preach in large churches yet his spiritual growth rate would increase dramatically when he began teaching someone a Home Bible Study! We ended our time at E Group with a challenge to each other to start teaching one Bible Study by December 1st! Not only will we save others but each young man will begin to build a solid foundation of Apostolic Beliefs! This foundation will support his Apostolic Ministry!

This what has happened in the life of Bro. Jason Carr! He had expressed that he wanted to teach a Bible Study and see someone to receive the Holy Ghost! He started a study at his parents house in Beaumont to a High School friend. Dan and his wife Charisse, have been attending the study for a number of weeks! Sunday, October 5th was a great day for two people, Dan and Bro. Jason. It was a special day for Dan because he received the gift of the Spirit that is evidenced by speaking in tongues. It was special for Bro. Jason because he saw someone he taught become a Child of God! The experience is helping both of them to be saved! Dan gets the words of truth from a friend and Bro. Jason gets reminded of those truths as he teaches and sees his friend experience God! Faith in the Word of God grows in each of their hearts as they experience the work of the Spirit.

Why don't you work on your salvation and join the E Group in a quest to teach a Bible Study! Try to start one before Dec 1st! That study will be the means to not only someone else's salvation but also your own!

What?

The “E” Group” is a gathering designed to “Empower, Equip and Encourage” young men to Apostolic Ministry. The sessions will include but not be limited to:

• Empowerment for Apostolic Ministry
• Equipped for Apostolic Ministry
• Encouraged to do Apostolic Ministry

Other events will happen from fervent prayer to discussions (What is success in ministry? How do I handle failure in ministry? How do I begin in ministry?). Sponsors: Myles Young and BJ Wilmoth. Why?

Why are we having this gathering? Because our world’s condition require that young men become powerful servants of the Lord not tomorrow but NOW! These men are interested in ministering to the Father by anticipating His needs in the battle to expand the territory of the Kingdom of God today! Young men who are empowered by the Holy Ghost, who understand who they are, and are willing to make His mission their life mission! Young men who both dream and act!

When?

The gathering will begin October 3 (Friday) @ 6:00 PM at Hope Center and will end on October 4 (Saturday) @ 2:00 PM. At your registration upon arrival, an agenda will be given to you. There will be no cost to you in registration, neither any offering taken during the sessions.

Where?

The gathering will take place in Redlands, California a city in the greater Los Angeles area. The most convenient airport to fly into to arrive in Redlands is the Ontario Airport. This airport is approximately 25 minutes from Redlands. Travel from the airport east on I-10 to Ford Street in Redlands. Turn left at the bottom of the exit. The church (Hope Center) will be on the left side of the street approximately one-quarter of a mile. The address of the church is 1210 Ford St. Redlands, CA 92374.

Who?

The “E” Group gathering is designed for the young man who feels a call to ministry. Age is not criteria to attend. The focus will be activate each individual to ministry.

How?

First, talk with your Pastor about coming. If he gives his permission then mailto: Egroup@HopeCenterOnline.com that you will be attending. In the email, place your name, address, and cell # number (for texting info purposes) and pastor’s name. This info will assist us with preparation of food for the gathering (this will be at no cost to you).

The E-Group Gathering

Hey everybody, I just wanted to let all of you know about a very exciting meeting coming in October. It is going to be a great time for young ministers and those that feel called to preach. It is called "The E Group". The "E" comes from the idea of Empowering, Equipping and Encouraging young men to apostolic ministry. The dates are October 3-4. The location is Hope Center in Redlands, CA. Bro B J Wilmoth and myself are the sponsoring pastors. Bro Jason Calhoun will also be an integral part of this new venture. This meeting has been birthed out of a burden for young men to respond to the call of God. Within the UPCI, ALJC, WPF, ACI and even independent circles there needs to be a fresh crop of young men who will rise up and preach the word with boldness and clarity. This meeting is our attempt at having an influence for the future of the Apostolic Movement. We believe in young men. I hope many of you will make plans to be there. If you know someone who you are acquainted with that is in the developmental stage of ministry or is already active in ministry as a young man, then this will be a great opportunity to network and be Empowered, Equipped and Encouraged.
